With an eye for subtle beauty and a dedication to continual study,
T. Allen Lawson works and paints in the tradition of earlier representational artists. His paintings, drawings and etchings are consistently evolving expressions of the artist and his surroundings.
Tim formally studied portraiture and figure drawing at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
His work is part of the permanent collections of the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Portland Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, the Whitney Gallery of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and the Florence Griswold Museum. In 2008, T. Allen Lawson was chosen to create the White House Christmas card. The painting is now a part of the
White House permanent art collection.
Tim lives with his wife and their four children in Rockport, Maine.
